It was studied that graft copolymers of humic acids with acrylic acid and acrylamide affected on amelioration to the lateritic red soil.The results showed that copolymer significantly ameliorated the structure of the lateritic red soil,the production of 0.25 mm waterstable aggregates was increased from 26.9% to 67.5%(Max),the permeability coefficient of the soil(×10-5 cm/s)was raised from 1.8 to 20.7(Max),the bulk density of the soil was lowered from 1.3 g/cm3 to 1.02 g/cm3(Min).The capillary water and the moisture of amended soil significantly increased.
