The Taihang Mountains is one of the main districts of debris flow development in China. On the windward slope of the Taihang Mountains, the type of debris flow belongs to heavy storm type. The main feature of debris flow is that the rock collapse and the landslide translated into debris flow fleetly under the heavy storm. On Aug.14,1999,the disastrous debris flow developed in the Xiawacha valley,Pingshan county,Hebei Province. It destroyed the Xiawacha village that is located at the mouth of valley and 26 people died.On the basis of field investigation, the authors wanted to record the process of debris flow verily and built the individual record of debris flow. The purpose is to study developing regularity of regional debris flow and put forward the prevention plan finally.
